About Allison Moody
Biography
Allison Moody is the Teaching Assistant Professor of Voice and Speech for the BFA and MFA Acting Programs. She is an actor, director, and voice/dialect coach who is passionate about guiding students toward authentic storytelling and meaningful human connection. She has worked in New York City on numerous Off-Off Broadway shows as well as at many LORT and SPT theatres across the Midwest. She has had the pleasure of teaching Acting, Voice, Dialects, Musical Theatre and Voice-Over to students at Indiana University-Bloomington and Millikin University. She also travels nationally and internationally to coach financial professionals in public speaking, networking, and executive impact.
Allison is one of the founding members of Chicago’s Brown Couch Theatre Company and is an Artistic Associate for Project: Theater in New York City. Allison is also a Designated Linklater Teacher, a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, and is working towards her certification in Estill Voice Training Figure Proficiency. Her professional affiliations include AEA, VASTA and the Feldenkrais Guild of North America. Allison is originally from Stilwell, KS, is a proud Kansas City Royals fan, and believes that Kansas City BBQ is the best.
